The Divisions of Physical & Biological Sciences and Social Sciences hosted the first annual Climate Science and Policy Conference on Friday, February 28 and Saturday, March 1, 2014. The two day event featured top climate scientists and policy experts from across the country in a series of talks and panel discussions.

The overarching theme was "Climate Science and Policy through the Looking Glass." The primary goal of the conference was "to bring broad public attention to the challenges of climate change and provide compelling reasons why effective action is immediately needed," said Social Sciences Dean Sheldon Kamieniecki.
