Program:                     The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities invites applications for the Minority Health and Health Disparities International Research Training awards. These awards will support programs to offer international research training opportunities at a foreign site to qualified undergraduate, post-baccalaureates or graduate students in the life, physical, or social sciences; or medical students, dental students, or students in other health-professional programs who have not yet received terminal degrees who are from groups underrepresented in biomedical, behavioral, clinical and social sciences research.

Title:                            Graduate Student Measurement Science and Engineering Fellowship Program
Program:                     NIST is soliciting proposals from eligible applicants for a Graduate Student Measurement Science and Engineering Fellowship Program that will provide doctoral-level graduate students with opportunities and financial assistance to obtain laboratory experiences within the NIST laboratories in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The recipient will work with NIST to foster collaborative research relationships among NIST, doctoral-level graduate students and the students’ academic institutions in STEM. Review, selection, and award processing is expected to be completed in March 2013. The earliest anticipated start date for awards under this FFO is expected to be May 1, 2013.

Program:                     The National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAA/NMFS) is soliciting competitive applications for the 2013 Pacific Islands Region Marine Education and Training Mini-Grant Program. Title:                            Postdoctoral Research Fellowships
Program:                     The University of California Institute for Mexico and the United States (UC MEXUS) and Mexico's National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) are pleased to announce a joint program to support postdoctoral researchers at the University of California or at Mexican institutions of higher education or research. The primary objective of this program is to advance academic scholarship by emerging Mexican researchers and UC scientists and scholars in the early stages of their careers, after obtaining their Ph.D. In addition, the program seeks to support existing or developing binational academic networks by enhancing collaborative research projects between UC and Mexican faculty and institutions through the innovative involvement and training of new researchers. In keeping with these goals, postdoctoral applicants will be considered who will be actively participating in a research project or training program at the host UC campus or Mexican institution, with an emphasis on using the stay to advance their own academic and professional development as well as to solidify future binational research ties and networks.
