Program:                     The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) is pleased to announce a competitive solicitation process to award 2014 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP) funds for proposals that solely enhance the competitiveness of California specialty crops. Specialty crops are fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits, horticulture, and nursery crops (including floriculture).

Program:                     The program's goals are to support psychology's efforts to improve areas of critical need in society, including but not limited to innovative scientifically based clinical work with serious mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, incarcerated or homeless individuals, children with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and adults with serious mental illness (SMI); and to encourage early career psychologists to devote their careers to under-served populations.

Title:                            JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships
Program:                     Supports short and long term postdoctoral research in Japan. Research can be carried out in Japan, the United States, and/or other countries. Projects must include work with colleagues and resources in Japan and propose a single, continuous stay in Japan from 3-11 months or 12-24 months.

Title:                            Frederick Douglass Institute, Pre & Post-Doctoral Fellowship
Program:                     One postdoctoral and one predoctoral fellowship will be awarded annually to an applicant in a field related to the African and African-American experience. The postdoctoral fellowship supports the completion of a research project for one academic year while the predoctoral fellowship requires the graduate student to work with the Institute's Director in organizing colloquium, lectures, and other events with no teaching obligation.
