Make a Bequest

Please consider including a UCSC Social Sciences program in your will or estate plan. With the help of the university's expert planned giving staff, you may be able to make a larger gift than you imagine, while providing for your family, to leave a legacy that will enrich UC Santa Cruz far into the future.

Donors are advised to contact UC Santa Cruz and to consult their own legal counsel regarding appropriate adaptations of this language for their circumstances. Your bequest language can be simple. However, the following language is only suggested.

I hereby bequeath to the UC Santa Cruz Foundation (Foundation), incorporated as a tax-exempt organization to benefit the University of California, Santa Cruz (UNIVERSITY), located in Santa Cruz, California, the sum of _____ dollars [or alternatively, the ____% of residuary estate; or description of property, etc.] to be directed by the UNIVERSITY for the support of the ______________.
