Social Sciences Research

In keeping with the University of California's three-part mission: research, teaching, and public service, the Division of Social Sciences has a strong history of integrating undergraduates into the research endeavor, in addition to offering graduate programs in more departments than ever before.

Our research centers facilitate the interdisciplinary collaborations demanded by the complex challenges facing society today. With a commitment to excellence and relevance, we are building bridges to engineering, the sciences, arts, and the humanities while reaching out to share the results of our work with policy makers, legislators, and the public. By demonstrating leadership within higher education and reaching outside the walls of the academy, we are honoring our commitment to the people of California and beyond.
