Congratulations
Congratulations to 1985 Merrill College Community Studies graduate Nancy Berglass for being selected to receive the 2010 Distinguished Social Sciences Alumni Award!
The Distinguished Social Sciences Alumni Award is presented annually to graduates of the division whose careers are characterized by their sustained and exemplary contributions to society through research, practice, education, policy, or service. Award winners will be individuals who bring enduring honor to their alma mater as practitioners and as citizens.
Ms. Berglass was selected as the winner of the 2010 Distinguished Social Sciences Alumni Award for the depth and breadth of her partnerships and philanthropic efforts since graduating, her impressive prestigious, voluminous, and impactful local, national and international work, her exemplary strategic leadership and expertise, and her personal and professional dedication and service as a community-builder, advisor, trainer, and advocate and supporter of: her community, national public health movement and public health education, culture and the arts, and military families and government agencies designed to support them.
As Principal of Berglass Community Investment Consulting, Nancy helps strengthen communities by enhancing the capacities of grantmakers, nonprofit organizations, and public agencies to engage effectively with each other and those they serve. Indeed, for all these reasons, and more, we are proud to claim Ms. Berglass as a Social Sciences alumna.
