With all of the choices for college, what made UC Santa Cruz stand out?
The forests, the campus diversity including student body and the multiple colleges, the arts programs, the closeness to home, and the prosperity of the school as a research university.
What is your field of focus?
I would like to further my studies in either neuro-sociology or film production.
What do you hope to do once you graduate from UC Santa Cruz?
Continue on to graduate school.
What is one memorable moment that stands out for you as a student here?
Probably my first day orientation as a transfer student.
What is your one piece of advice for incoming students about life at UC Santa Cruz?
It seems daunting at first entering such a large university, but roll with the punches because UCSC has one some of the best views, classes, professors, and programs, it is the best college atmosphere I’ve experienced as a transfer student.
How will this scholarship impact your academic life/research?
It will help with the costs of applying to graduate school.
