What is your one piece of advice for incoming students about life at UC Santa Cruz? One piece of advice from me would be to get involved with the Santa Cruz community outside of campus. How will this scholarship impact your academic life /research? For starters, I am beyond thankful for this scholarship as it has allowed attending graduate school as a low-income first-generation Latina to become more of a reality for me. I plan to use this scholarship to pay for my education at the University Of Southern California. This will allow me to become a clinical social worker and work towards equitable healthcare services for youth and families.
