What is one memorable moment that stands out for you as a student here? Meeting many new people who are now friends during Freshman year orientation events, the Boardwalk event in particular.

What is your one piece of advice for incoming students about life at UC Santa Cruz? -Don’t be afraid to leave your comfort zone and try new things. Socialize while also focusing on school and your priorities. Be involved around campus and join organizations that interest you.

How will this scholarship impact your academic life /research? This scholarship will immensely help me get started with paying off my student debt. Being chosen for this scholarship is very validating as my hard work is slowly paying off and I will use this as motivation to keep pursuing my goals.
