With all of the choices for college, what made UC Santa Cruz stand out? The beautiful campus and focus on social activism, especially within the social psychology department, made UCSC stand out.

What is your field of focus? My field of focus is Psychology, particularly how human-animal interaction can benefit mental health and well-being

What do you hope to do once you graduate from UC Santa Cruz? I hope to continue my research in a post bacc RA position followed by aPhD program.

What is one memorable moment that stands out for you as a student here? Lively discussions in my senior seminar were some of the most memorable moments during my time as a student here.

What is your one piece of advice for incoming students about life at UC Santa Cruz? Take time to explore all the recourses and opportunities the school has to offer such as the Career Center and field study programs.

How will this scholarship impact your academic life /research? This scholarship has added inspiration to continue my research and apply for more opportunities for funding to aid in my academic journey.
