With all of the choices for college, what made UC Santa Cruz stand out? Its bold and undeniable commitment to conserving natural landscapes. I hope they choose to stick to what makes them unique.
What do you hope to do once you graduate from UC Santa Cruz? Pursue sustainable city planning.
What is one memorable moment that stands out for you as a student here? Although I am not done with my experience at UCSC, my time listening to my professors teach are the constant highlights of my time here.
How will this scholarship/award impact your academic life/research? This scholarship means absolutely everything to me. I am supporting myself through college fully and the peace of mind of having a bit more financial support goes a very long way. It’s not easy working the hardest you’ve ever worked while also being the poorest you’ve ever been.
What does this scholarship/award mean to you? Aside from the financial support, this scholarship resembles a gratification for work I’ve done in my life. Often, it feels as though you work hard and it goes un noticed although I know ive touched and influenced many along the way. It’s is extremely rewarding to be acknowledged for the work I’ve done, in a truly passionate manner.
