Where do you call home?  I currently live in Santa Cruz, but I grew up in Arlington Heights, IL

With all of the choices for college, what made UC Santa Cruz stand out?  High quality research institution

What is your field of focus?  Aquatic ecology, behavioral ecology, predator-prey interactions, migration

What do you hope to do once you graduate from UC Santa Cruz? Continue doing academic research in a postdoctoral position, followed by a career in academia or at an agency doing research and teaching.

What is one memorable moment that stands out for you as a student here?  Conducting field research.

What is your one piece of advice for incoming students about life at UC Santa Cruz?  Enjoy the beautiful scenery and outdoor activities!

How will this scholarship impact your academic life /research? This fellowship supported my living expenses during the summer quarter. This contributes to my financial stability, which also hugely benefits my mental health. Cumulatively, this award provides me focused time to work on my final dissertation chapter.
