With all of the choices for college, what made UC Santa Cruz stand out? The awesome faculty in the Economics department, the location, and the campus!

What is your field of focus? Monetary Economics, Macrofinance, International Finance, and the Chinese economy.

What do you hope to do once you graduate from UC Santa Cruz? Hopefully a tenure-track assistant professorship in Economics.

What is one memorable moment that stands out for you as a student here? First Fridays at the GSC! Free beer and great company.

What is your one piece of advice for incoming students about life at UC Santa Cruz? Take advantage of all your department and campus has to offer! But also, join the GSC.

How will this scholarship impact your academic life /research? Financially, this scholarship will help me continue to fund my ongoing research projects. Academically, this scholarship is a great honor and gives me a sense of validation for my research agenda and the work I’ve put in since starting here.
