Golden Apple Eligibility Criteria

1. A nomination letter from the Department Chair and two years of teaching evaluations/evidence are required.
2. Range of teaching (across levels of the curriculum) is a consideration.
3. The selection committee may take into account other factors during its deliberations.
4. Please feel free to inform us of any special/unusual circumstances or factors that add to the case for the nominee.
5. Recent winners of the Academic Senate Committee on Teaching (COT) award, i.e., those who have won a COT award during the last three years are not eligible for the division award.
6. Repeat nominations: Other excellent instructors will have priority. Prior winners will be eligible for repeat awards after a five year period.
